In Skolkovo, on the 26th of October, during the “Open Innovation” Forum, a partnership Agreement was signed between the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Russian Foundation for Technological Development (Industrial Development Fund).
The document, endorsed by the signatures of the President of the MCCI, Mr.Vladimir Platonov and Director of the Foundation, Mr. Alexey Komissarov, provides for close cooperation of the two organizations in the area of innovative applications in economic development of Moscow, creation of conditions for increasing investment appeal and entrepreneurial activity of Moscow, modernization of industry aimed at import substitution, stimulation of innovative enterprises with set goals for achieving tangible results in scientific and technical fields with high commercial potential required by domestic and foreign markets.
The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Russian Foundation for Technological Development will create joint groups of experts for actively supporting business projects, technological transfers, scientific and technical activities in order to help advance industrial development. The two organizations are also planning to develop and enhance relevant statutes on federal and municipal levels.
As stated at the ceremony by the President of the MCCI, Mr. Platonov, the signing of the Agreement constitutes a major event as it creates the largest association of Moscow businessmen. The partnership with the Foundation for Technological Development will aid the Moscow CCI in designing and implementing effective mechanisms for protecting the rights and interests of Moscow’s industrial enterprises in domestic and international markets. It will also support the efforts of the capital’s entrepreneurs, aimed at production of modern high-quality products and services, introduce urban producers as full-fledged members to international markets competing for goods, work, services and technologies, and assist their function and successful performance in these markets.
Reference: The Russian Foundation for Technological Development (Industrial Development Fund) was formed for the purpose of modernizing the existing industries, establishing new ones and providing the means for import substitution. The Foundation was established in 2014 on the initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation by restructuring the Russian Fund for Technological Development.
The Foundation offers favorable conditions for co-financing of projects aimed at developing new high-tech products, obtaining modern technical equipment plus the creation of competitive industries, based on the optimal available technology.
For the implementation of new industrial projects on competitive basis, the Foundation offers targeted loans at the rate of 5% per annum for up to 7 years in the amounts from 50 to 500 million rubles, stimulating the inflow of direct investments in the sector of the real economy.
