On December 8, the MCCI President, Mr. Vladimir Platonov, met with representatives of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“Nowadays, despite foreign political sanctions, Russia continues to actively develop; it has become a tangible goal for our country to fully return to the world economy to the positions in the development of industry that were once occupied by the Soviet Union - it is quite realistic," said Mr. Platonov, the President of the Moscow Chamberer of commerce and Industry in his opening remarks, recalling that Moscow and Dubai are linked by a close and long-term cooperation.
He also noted that the meeting is attended by representatives of Moscow business with whom a direct dialog may be established. Entrepreneurs, representing "progressive businesses with an innovative component" were invited: construction robotics and IT companies that are the leaders in their segment.
"Realizing the importance of Moscow in IT exports and the interest that is present on the part of the UAE, we decided to focus on the high-tech industry and exhibited such projects," explained Mr. Vladislav Mishchenko, the Advisor to the Chamber's President on International Affairs. He said that colleagues from the UAE also pay close attention to food security, so entrepreneurs were invited to the meeting with whom to discuss opportunities to supply agricultural products and foodstuffs.
Dubai colleagues noted the importance of investing in the Russian Federation. Our government has always paid special attention to foreign investments. Taking into account the friendly spirit, the corigisl intentions expressed by the representatives of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, I am sure we will support their interest to the maximum extent possible. If possible, we will provide information on projects that require foreign investment. We will also work "in the opposite direction - we will familiarize domestic business with projects coming from foreign colleagues", - summarized Mr. Mishchenko.
