The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting with Mr. Haifil Elmi Jamil, Trade Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Russia.
The Vice-President of the MCCI, Mr. Suren Vardanyan, supervising the International and Inter-regional activities, described the main pursuits of the MCCI as a whole, and, in particular, in the field of foreign trade.
He noted that the key objective of the Chamber is the collection and analysis of information regarding the needs of various spheres and sectors of business and presenting it in a structured and segmented format to the the attention of the governance of the city, and, if necessary, to the federal authorities.
"Like all Chambers of Commerce and Industry, we are engaged in certification, consulting on foreign economic activity, starting with issues related to customs clearance and ending with compliance. We provide visa support, deal with legalisation of documents as the CCI system," said Mr. Vardanyan.
He expressed readiness to resume work with Malaysia: "It is always easier to continue the relations than to organize something from the beginning", - emphasized the representative of the MCCI leadership. Among the main directions of cooperation, Mr. Vardanyan named the developments in the sphere of artificial intelligence, healthcare, supply of new construction materials, composite products etc.
Mr. Jamil expressed gratitude to the MCCI leadership for the organized meeting. He said that Malaysian entrepreneurs are interested in the development of trade and economic relations with Moscow and Russia.
According to him, one of the first steps in establishing business relations between the business community of Moscow and Malaysia could be the presentation of economic and investment potential of the Malaysian economy with the participation of entrepreneurs of both countries. In addition, the participants of the meeting discussed the issue of organizing a business mission to Kuala Lumpur after identifying the main areas of potential cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Vardanyan presented the guest from Malaysia with souvenirs with the MCCI logo.
