From August 23 rd to the 29th of the month, the MCCI participated in the VI th International Military and Technical Forum "ARMY-2020". The MCCI exhibition was located on one of the main traditional sites of the Forum - the “Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center” (Moscow Region, Odintsovo District).
In accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Forum "Army" is held in Russia since 2015 by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The co-organizers of this large-scale event are the Federal Space Agency, Russian Technologies State Corporation and the exhibition’s operator, the International Congresses and Exhibitions, LLC (MKV LLC).
The main purpose of the IMTF and the exhibition was to explore innovative developments and technologies for their applications in the interests of defense and security of the state and subsequent introduction into promising models of armaments and military equipment, as well as the demonstration of general purpose products and services, related to life support of the Armed Forces personnel by sponsored organizations and enterprises of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
As usual, the scientific and business program of the Forum conducted 186 plenary sessions, congresses, conferences, round tables, briefings, panel discussions on the most pressing problems of the state defense, the development of international military, military-technical and military-economic cooperation. According to the organizers, the total number of participants in the business program was over 11 thousand people.
But the main focus of attraction for both specialists and ordinary visitors, was a large-scale exhibition. This year, it was located in pavilions and outdoor areas of the “Patriot Exhibition Center”, the military training ground in Alabino and Kubinka airfield (its total area was over 320 thousand square meters).
Specifically, the expositions "Innovation Activity of the Russian Ministry of Defense" (the newest and perspective weaponry samples); "Tankprom Alley”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Russian tank construction (a line of 22 tanks and armoured vehicles, outlining the main directions of the industry’s developments); "Military education. Prestige and innovations" (advanced technologies, used in the education and training of future officers - automated military education management system, virtual and interactive simulators); aircraft equipment and weapons, including achievements of utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles; samples of high-tech dual-use products of the key enterprises of the Russian UIC (Rostekh Group, Kalashnikov Concern, United Aircraft Corporation, Almaz-Antey Concern, etc.); space innovations and many others.
Over 1 thousand companies of different profiles took part in the exhibition, presenting 28 thousand exhibits. National exhibition expositions were presented by six foreign countries (Belarus, Brazil, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and South Ossetia).
The MCCI took part in IMTF "ARMY-2020" for the second time. Its exhibition highlighted the main directions of the Chamber's work and services, being provided by the Chamber and its subsidiaries, particularly the JSC “Mosexpertiza”, created for the benefit of entrepreneurs of the capital, which elicited great interest among the representatives of various companies.
The MCCI’s staff, working at the exhibition, held about 100 meetings. Visitors were interested in the possibility of participation in the exhibition events in offline and online formats, assistance in attracting new clients and investments, access to new markets, including international ones; placement and conduct of commercial tenders using the electronic platform the "Business Market” designed by the MCCI; inclusion in the register of reliable partners in terms of reliability confirmation for international contractors. A number of companies are going to consider the possibility of becoming members of the pertinent guilds and requisite committees operating under the auspices of the MCCI.
On August 26, the MCCI’s President, Mr. Vladimir Platonov and its Director General, Mr. Anatoly Yedrenkin, conducted talks regarding the prospects of the MCCI’s participation in IMTF’s "ARMy-2021", in particular, the possibility of preparing, together with the government of the capital, an exhibition entitled "Made in Moscow", which will present the expositions of the MCCI’s member companies and the ones working with the Moscow Export Center.
The results of IMTF-2020 are impressive: over 40 state contracts with 27 enterprises of various industries have been signed for a record amount of over 1.16 trillion rubles. Official military delegations from 92 foreign countries took part in its work.
