From 8 to 11 August, 2014 Moscow will host World Youth Entrepreneurship international program SAGE (Students for Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship) for the first time.
The event will be attended by representatives from 15 countries: USA, Canada, Russia, Ghana, Zambia, India, Ireland, Japan, South Africa, China, Nigeria, Singapore, Congo, Pakistan and the Philippines. The teams will present innovative projects in the field of social entrepreneurship. The jury will include representatives of the government, education circles, business, non-governmental organizations, media both from Russia and countries participating in the program.
What is social entrepreneurship? These are commercial projects which primary purpose is to solve the major problems of society. One of the clearest examples of such activities has been the development of micro-credit system for small business that has saved millions of people from poverty. Mr Muhammad Yunus, an economics professor from Bangladesh, won the Nobel Peace Prize for this idea.

The educational program SAGE was founded in 2002 by California State University professor Kurt DeBergom and unites now four continents. Participants create unique business social projects under patronage of the experts in the field. Young people learn in practice, how to start their own business, to work as a team, to attract sponsors, to present their projects and work with socially vulnerable people. SAGE program aims to spread he principles of social entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility in the world.
