On the platform of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, a conference "How to enter international markets: the possibilities of the logistics hub of Abu Dhabi" was held, where a presentation of the Khalifa Industrial Zone of Abu Dhabi (UAE) was made.
The meeting was moderated by the Vice President of the MCCI, Mr. Suren Vardanyan. "Khalifa Industrial Zone of Abu Dhabi is becoming a fundamentally important platform for promotion not only in the Arab Emirates, but also in the countries of the Persian Gulf,” - he said.
Mr. Sergey Gor’kov, the Chairman of the Russian-Emirati Business Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Rosgeologiya", made a welcoming speech in a video message. "I hope that this conference will make it possible to present all the opportunities, offered by the new logistics center of the Khalifa Industrial Zone in Abu Dhabi and open new horizons for the development of our relations not only between our two countries, but also with other states of the Persian Gulf,” - said Mr. Gor’kov.
The Vice-President of International Development of Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), made a presentation of KIZAD zone, of which he spoke in detail and with specific examples about the opportunities for Russian companies. He explained why KIZAD zone is a point favourable to the localization of production and promotion to the markets of other countries. Mr. Khalid Al Marzouki said that most of the UAE residents are expats. "They come from different countries and cultures but live in the same country. And in recent years, even in spite of the pandemic, the number of Russians in the UAE has been growing. They come and stay and keep their business interests in our country. We have many of the same values, there are not many differences between us, so I am sure we can overcome our cultural barriers," Mr. Al Marzouki stated with confidence.
