On April 11, in the Slovak House, a business delegation of the SARIO State Agency for Export and Investment Support of Slovakia, met with the Moscow business community.
The Vice-President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr.Suren Vardanyan, presented the investment and economic potential of the city of Moscow. He spoke about the work of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, its goals and objectives, as well as services it provides for entrepreneurs, including foreign trade. The speaker particularly focused on the peculiarities of doing business between Slovakian and Moscow’s companies. In their welcoming speeches, the Executive Director of the SARIO Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SARIO), Mr. Josef Trojak, and the Head of the Trade and Economic Department of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in the Russian Federation, Mr. Daniel Duhon, greeted the guests.
Representatives of the Slovak side noted the need to develop business cooperation with Moscow’s firms and enterprises, especially during the period of new sanctions. Brief presentations were made, regarding the prospects of financial and banking cooperation, made by the Director of the Department of Corporate Lending and Finance the International Bank for Economic Cooperation, Mr. Peter Оswald, and the Director of the Department of Client Relations International Investment Bank, Mr. Denis Rodionov. The director of the Slovakian-Russian business council in the RF, Mr. Yuray Leshko, described the work of his organization and expressed hope for new prospects for collaboration. The legal aspects of representing the affairs of Slovakian and Russian entrepreneurs were explained by the partner of the law firm of “Peterka & Partners” and its managing director, Mr. Eldar Mansurov.
The meeting was attended by companies, which are members of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who are already doing business with the Republic of Slovakia, or are interested in starting cooperation with the Slovak Republic. The event was held with the support of the Moscow Government and the Department of Economic Policy and Development of the city.
