The Vice - President of the MCCI, directing the External Economic Policy, Mr. Suren Vardanyan, told the Pakistani guests which activity the MCCI considers to be a priority. In particular, he noted that the Chamber organizes business-missions both in Russia, as well as abroad.
"Recently, we hosted a delegation from the city of Karachi. We signed an agreement on cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of this city and the first results are in evidence: we receive concrete proposals, which we examine and send to our partners, " Mr. Vardanyan said. He also expressed the hope that cooperation with the CCI of Pakistan will be equally fruitful.
The Minister, Head of the Trade Mission of Pakistan in the Russian Federation, Mr. Nasir Hamid, in his reply stressed that the main goal of their work is the maintenance of bilateral relations with foreign countries. Yesterday, members of the delegation, which included mainly businessmen engaged in production of sporting goods, held a number of B2B meetings, which discussed issues of introducing Pakistani goods to the Russian capital and market.
Tomorrow, the delegation will travel to St. Petersburg, where meetings with entrepreneurs will also take place. For his part, Mr. Nasir Hamid assured the representatives of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry that if they are going to pay a business visit to Pakistan, the Embassy and the trade mission will provide the maximum assistance in organizing the trip.
The Head of the delegation, the president of the Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Sporting Goods of Pakistan, Mr. Hasnain Iftikhar Chiyima, supported his colleague and noted that in Russia they love sports and therefore this market is very capacious and promising. However, he complained about certain difficulties associated with entering the Russian market: first of all, it is a language barrier and difficulties in obtaining a visa. Regarding the last point, Mr. Vardanyan invited the Pakistani businessmen to use the services of the MCCI: "We provide visa support and have many applications from Pakistani companies. We encourage you to contact us - we will help with the preparation of all necessary documents. "
Mr. Vardanyan said that in the market of Moscow, Pakistani companies that produce sporting goods will have to compete with manufacturers from China, Bangladesh, India. And assistance in targeting our market can also be provided by the MCCI Commission on Foreign Economic Cooperation with partners from Pakistan.
The Head of the Commission, Mr. Stanislav Korolev, stressed that he is well aware of the structure of the Pakistani market and the tradition of doing business. "The culture of entrepreneurship of our countries is very different. In addition to the language barrier, there is a difference in approaches to doing business, building business ties between companies and very different national legislation. The work of our commission is directed towards overcoming these differences, " Mr. Korolev said.
The parties agreed to continue business contacts and expressed hope for long-term and fruitful cooperation.
