The idea to create a Macedonian trade and exhibition business center in the Russian Federation has existed for many years. And today it is being realized by the efforts of the Macedonian and Russian CCIs.
The proposal was made by the "Eurasian Business Union", on the basis of the memorandum of cooperation between the Macedonian and Russian CCIs, and Moscow CCI, and carried out with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in the Russian Federation and the Russian company, “Macedonian House”, established for the enhancement of trade cooperation between the two countries, - noted the Executive Director of the Republic of Macedonia’s Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Dejan Bashliev, in his project presentation statement.
“We are doing this to further invigorate the introduction of Macedonian exports to the Russian Federation, which in the past four years has demonstrated rapid growth." The Executive Director of the RМCCI stressed that the Macedonia is interested in the long term and sustainable nature of exports to Russia, since it would help to reduce the trade deficit, existing on the Macedonian side in the balance of trade between the two countries.
The Vice-president of the Moscow Chamber, Mr. Roman Dun'ko, in turn, noted that the Moscow Chamber looks forward to comprehensive development of cooperation with Macedonia and assured that the Russian capital will provide all of the required conditions for the creation of an effective work environment for the Trading House, created jointly with the Balkan Republic.
The Macedonian Trading and Exhibition House will be located in the largest wholesale-retail agricultural cluster of the capital, - “Food City”, where the already existing and future Macedonian exporters in Russia are and will be able to exhibit and store their products. The company, the "Macedonian House", will provide the importers with full commercial, customs and legal support.
