The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting of the Vice-President of the MCCI, Mr. Suren Vardanyan, with the Executive Director of the Economic Council of the Principality of Monaco (Monaco Economic Board), Mr.Guillaume Rose.
During the course of the meeting, the parties discussed the current global environment, including the transition of the global economy to an entirely new "hybrid" format for the foreseeable future. The parties noted that there are still weaknesses in the online format, such as cybersecurity issues and the inclusive assessment of the effectiveness of conducted meetings.
It was noted that today, it is apparent that both countries have something to offer each other. In this regard, topical and promising sectors of cooperation were discussed and identified. Among the proposals from Moscow, - sources of energy, horizontal wind turbines, etc. Monaco, in turn, offers waste management solutions, technologies and diverse projects for developing smart city ecosystems. Biotechnologies and intellectual property protection (including patenting issues) are also of mutual interest.
The main topic of discussion was the joint event planned for 2022. During the meeting, agreements were reached to organize it with the nearby regions of the Central Federal Districts of Russia.
