On the 5 of July Mr. Suren Vardanyan, Vice President of MCCI, met his Hungarian colleague – Mr. Imre Tóth, the Honorary President of the Hungarian-Russian Committee of the Chamber for Hungary, the Honorary President of the CCI of Budapest, as well as the representatives of the Hungarian business, in the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In March 2017, a meeting was held with the ambassador of Hungary, in which opportunities for the implementation of investment and the localization of the Hungarian production in Moscow were discussed, as well as attracting Hungarian companies to construction projects for the development of the Russian capital.
The Honorary President of the CCI of Budapest noted, that the CCI of Hungary includes about 200 thousand of enterprises of different profiles, for which the Chamber provides support according to industrial specifications. The goods turnover between Russia and Hungary, in the first 5 months of the 2017, demonstrated a serious growth, increasing by 30-35%. With the participation of the Russian Federation, the construction of one of the largest European nuclear power plants is in progress.
The parties discussed the upcoming visit of the Mayor of Moscow, Mr. Sergey Sobyanin, to Budapest, which is scheduled for December, 2017. In preparation for the visit, negotiations are already under way on the organization of business meetings, and both parties intend to maximize their effectiveness.
The focus for the intended partnership is the urban management (transportation, water purification, wastewater management, waste recycling, gardening and landscaping), tourism (unique Hungarian thermal springs), construction and development of infrastructure in the New Moscow district.
The Vice-president of the Moscow CCI, Mr. Vardanyan, stressed the interest in cooperation with high-tech companies in the areas of IT, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, the branch of engineering that deals with the design and building of machinery. He observed that in many cases the effect of the localization of production in Russia exceeds expectations of investors.
The Head of the Commission for Cooperation with partners in the countries of the Visehgrad Group (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia), Mr. Yuri Shisha, reported on the plans of the Commission for the meeting of the Heads of the Chambers of the country members of the group and the CCI of Moscow. The parties also discussed the particulars of conductling business in Moscow.
