The delegation from the Russian capital, headed by the Head of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the city of Moscow, Mr. Sergey Cheremin, met with the Mayor of Sofia, Ms. Yordanka Fandykova, at the commencement of the Days of Moscow’s Culture in Bulgaria.
Special attention was paid to the expansion of business cooperation. During the visit, a business forum will be held on trade and economic cooperation and the investment potential of Moscow and Sofia. Its organizer is the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In his speech, the member of the delegation, the Vice President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Suren Vardanyan, confirmed the Chamber’s readiness to intensify interaction with the business community of Sofia, both within the existing contacts of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and in the formats of industry guilds, associations and unions, as well as particular state organizations.
At the meeting in the City Hall, issues of cooperation between the two capitals in the fields of culture, education, sports, development of urban transport and infrastructure, metro and tourism were discussed.
The Bulgarian side showed great interest in Moscow’s experience and confirmed its interest in the opportunity of conducting the Days of Sofia in Moscow.
