He talked about the current work, carried out by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the development of relations with the Turkish capital, the advantages that Moscow provides for investors, and a number of specific investment projects that will expand the presence of Turkish companies in the Russian market. Considerable interest among the Istanbul’s visitors was paid to the information about the creation of the blockchain Guild of the MCCI.
n turn, the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Istanbul, Mr. Dursun Topchu, said that the Turkish delegation arrived in Moscow to prepare a large exhibition of Turkish goods, which is scheduled to be held in Moscow in late April 2019. He also assured that the development of relations with Moscow is one of the priorities in the work of the Chamber of Commerce of Istanbul.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of the C6 Council of the Heads of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the largest megacities of the world, in particular, the possibility of Istanbul joining it. According to Mr. Vardanyan, the final question of the Turkish capital joining the C6, to be discussed in Moscow, is adjourned for July.
In addition, the Vice President of the MCCI spoke about plans to create a Council of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of city-centers of business activity of the Eurasian space, from Lisbon to Vladivostok. "We want to discuss the cooperation of the Chambers, regardless of political trends", Mr. Vardanyan said. This idea was supported by the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Istanbul, who expressed their readiness to actively participate in the creation of this organization.
