On July 28, 2023, as part of the work on the sidelines of the II Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum in St. Petersburg, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Tunisian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The document, signed by Mr. Vladimir Platonov, the President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ms. Khristina Romanenko, the President of the Tunisian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, provides for cooperation between the two Chambers with the aim of enhancing the economies of both regions, focusing on trade, tourism, agriculture, innovation, investments, technology, as well as establishing direct and effective business relations between the two economies.
The MCCI and TRCCI will regularly exchange information of interest for the industrial, commercial, tourism and agricultural sectors, inform each other about the most important international and specialized exhibitions, fairs, seminars and other business events held in Moscow and Tunisia.
Cooperation involves the exchange of trade and economic missions, organization of meetings of business circles, facilitation of business contacts and other activities aimed at the development of mutual trade.
During the working meeting, preceding the signing ceremony, Mr. Platonov, informed his Tunisian colleagues about the current state of the Moscow’s economy, the favourable investment climate created in the Russian capital, spoke about various projects of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, paying special attention to the pilot project of teaching foreign students of Russian Universities the basics of entrepreneurship.
In her speech, the TRCCI President Khristina Romanenko expressed her confidence that the signed document will enable closer and more fruitful cooperation between Moscow and Tunisian entrepreneurs.
