The Eurasian Economic Congress is a platform that allows focusing on topical issues of business development in the EEU and CIS countries. Leading companies can enter into a direct dialogue with the authorities of the EEU countries, the Eurasian Economic Commission, as well as professional and public organizations.
The participants of the event discussed high-tech sectors of economy and new logistics’ projects that contribute to the development of cooperation between the countries of Greater Eurasia: "smart city" technologies, innovations in the field of Fin Tech, new transportation routes. Special attention was afforded to the project of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Silk Road Economic Belt integration.
The theme of the plenary session of the Congress was "Greater Eurasia Prospects: Business as a Driver of Dialogue between the EAEU, India and the European Union".
Mr. Platonov spoke in the section "20 years of the Union State of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. Prospects of economic development". He stressed that the work with Belarus is a longstanding traditional strategic direction of the business community in Moscow. The President of the Chamber spoke about the work carried out by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote interaction between business associations of the two countries. The Moscow CCI actively cooperates with the Minsk, Mogilev, Vitebsk and Gomel divisions of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry: partnership agreements have been signed, the Chamber acts as an organizer of business events during the Days of Moscow in the cities of Belarus, participates in the organization of forums, conferences, and round tables with Belarusian and Moscow entrepreneurs and business missions are exchanged.
The work experience of the MCCI with the Council of the Heads of the Eurasian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has shown that entrepreneurs of Moscow and enterprises throughout Russia and abroad are actively cooperating with each other in search of new directions for their business development. Chambers of Commerce and Industry take an active part in this process, helping business owners and managers to understand the particulars of a new market, avoid typical mistakes and find the most promising development strategies. Therefore, when a company enters Moscow’s market, it can get quality advice and assistance in solving any business problem from the members of the MCCI.
Mr. Platonov spoke about the services offered by the MCCI for pursuing cooperation with Belarusian partners, i.e. the internet site of business offers, the "Business Market", created and established with the participation of the MCCI International Club of Employers. Also, the Committee for the development of partnerships between ethnic business associations and Committee for the development of cooperation between local business clubs were established under the auspices of the Moscow CCI.
Mr. Suren Vardanyan, the Vice-President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented the Chamber at the Russian-Indian Business Dialogue, held within the framework of Congress XI. As the Chairman of the MCCI’s Commission on Foreign Economic Cooperation with Partners in India, Mr. Vardanian highly praised the level of business cooperation with India and spoke in detail about the main directions of the MCCI's work on the development of relations with Indian partners and new projects of the Chamber.
