On November 5, during the Business Forum "Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO): further steps towards sustainable economic development”, the MCCI’s Vice President, Mr. Artyom Dalevich, presented the city’s project: “ Pilot testing of innovative projects in an urban environment".
It was launched by the Moscow City Government in May of this year. Its main task is to test various new technologies in real conditions. "For startups, developing new technologies and innovative products, it is very important to get feedbacks from end users on how convenient and effective these solutions are," - said Mr. Dalevich.
The city government has allocated about 100 sites for testing, including factories, warehouses, business schools, universities, institutes, etc. These entities have voluntarily agreed to take part in testing absolutely free of charge. All those, who want to test their developments at these sites, may apply. "We are sure that this program should help startups to enter the market more easily", - emphasized the speaker.
Participating in the project, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry acts as a connecting link, providing expert opinions. Mr. Dalevich said that this year, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry has created the Expert Council, which brings together recognized specialists from 10 main areas of the economy. These are information technologies, health care, education, sports, creation of a comfortable urban environment, production and industry, security, transportation, housing and utilities, ecology, tourism and leisure.
The main task of the Council is to assess the innovativeness of presented technologies and developments. After the project is recognized as successful, it receives the CCI Certificate, "This document attests to other market participants that the project is approved and recognized as successful and efficient," - said the Vice President of the MCCI. He named a number of cases that had already been approved by the Board: telemedicine platform, business messengers, disinfectants, air purification systems, etc. "Moscow is interested in new solutions for its urban environment, it is open to new proposals," said Mr. Dalevich.
For his part, Mr. Suren Vardanyan, the MCCI’s Vice-President, who moderated the Forum session "SCO: Digital Economy and Smart Technologies. New Solutions for Business", particularly drew the attention of the event’s participants to the fact that the presented project contributes to "the appearance of a program to motivate the creation and subsequent implementation of innovations. At the same time, with the help of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the city and the expert community cooperate in order to develop Moscow as a comfortable urban environment, "Smart City", and, in addition, to create conditions for the identification and successful implementation of the best innovative solutions.”
