On February 18 th, the Vice President of the MCCI, Mr Suren Vardanyan, and the Minister Plenipotentiary for Commercial and Economic Affairs of the Embassy of Greece in Moscow, Mr. Christos Farmakis, held a meeting in the Moscow Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Theodora Yannitsi, the Director of the Greek Cultural Center and a member of the scientific department of the Embassy, Mr. Yuri Iliadi, the Chairman of the MCCI’s Commission for Foreign Economic Cooperation with partners in Greece, and Mr. Konstantin Anastasiadi, a member of the Commission, also participated in the meeting.
Mr. Vardanyan told his colleagues about the possibilities of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the international market, focusing on the work of the Commissions on foreign economic cooperation. The issue of organizing conferences and round tables in online format with the support of the Embassy of Greece and the MCCI within the framework of considering the issues of green energy, renewable energy sources, technological cooperation, cooperation in tourism and investment were discussed.
Mr. Farmakis expressed his desire to continue cooperation between the Embassy of Greece and the Moscow Chamber and to support in every possible way the MCCI ’s movement to organize systematic interaction between the companies of Moscow and Greece. The representative of the Embassy expressed readiness to support interaction with the Greek Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as to carry out the work necessary to inform Moscow’s companies about the opportunities and prospects of business in Greece.
In turn, the Minister Plenipotentiary for Trade and Economic Affairs expressed interest in the application of new business models in the field of social tourism and youth exchange, as well as in the organization of the presence in the Greek territory of companies representing the Russian food market.
