A meeting with a delegation from the North Khorasan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in the Moscow Chamber of Commerce.
The parties discussed the cooperation between the entrepreneurs of Moscow and the North Khorasan province of Iran. In his welcoming speech, Mr. Vladimir Platonov, the President of the MCCI, noted that he was very pleased that the delegation from Iran included people, who are engaged in "specific areas of activity”.
"We have the ability to satisfy all your specific interests, in all areas of concern for you; we can help find partners in Russia", - assured the President of the MCCI. He named agriculture, industry, mines, food supply and packaging, as well as construction materials are very interesting directions for cooperation. Mr. Platonov appealed to Iranian entrepreneurs: "The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry will create all conditions for you and help to develop profitable relationship with Moscow and with Russia.”
Representatives of the North Khorasan province showed the meeting participants a promotional video about the opportunities of the region. Among the possible problems, they highlighted logistical problems. Sometimes deliveries of goods are delayed for up to three months due to customs delays and transportation delays.
The Chairman of the MCCI Commission on Foreign Economic Cooperation with partners in Iran, Mr. Nikolai Mashkov, told about the work of the public structure of the Chamber, especially noting that one of the main activities is the selection of partners in Iran and Russia. "The most important thing, in my opinion, for Iranian businessmen is what we can provide. It is the search for partners, channels to enter the Russian market, which is necessary. For example, the issues related to customs in Moscow and the region, we will naturally help solve. This is in our interests", Mashkov assured.
