On the 27th of February, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a meeting with the delegation, representing the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of the Philippines and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in preparation for the visit of the President of the Philippines to Russia in May, 2017.
The parties discussed the vision for the development of bilateral economic relations, discussed plans for the presentation of the Philippines on the site of the MCCI.
The Vice-President of the MCCI, Mr. Suren Vardanyan, noted that Moscow continues to remain the gateway to Russia for foreign business, concentrating huge consumer potential, highly trained professional personnel and a sophisticated financial system. The representatives of the Philippine delegation, in turn, noted that their country is very interested in establishing channels for export of products of the agrarian sector, particularly, bananas.
The decision on conducting the Philippine presentation in the MCCI will be reached shortly.
