A delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by its Vice President of Science and Technology, Mr. Suren Sattari, was placed in the Azimut Olympic Hotel in Moscow in order to hold a business forum.
As Mr. Sattari noted in his opening statement, Russia is a strategic partner of the Islamic Republic of Iran and entrepreneurs of his country are interested in finding new markets, establishing cooperation with Russian exporting companies, creating joint ventures, including high-tech and innovative enterprises.
The forum was opened with a plenary session, dedicated to strengthening bilateral trade and economic relations in the technological and industrial spheres. The business program continued with a series of round tables and negotiations on the topics of cooperation in the field of IT-technologies, medicine, mechanical engineering and high-tech production.
Subsequently, a number of definitive round tables took place, during which a number of innovative projects were discussed.
The business forum ended with negotiations between entrepreneurs from Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The negotiations were attended by representatives of about 60 Iranian companies, from various sectors of economy and industry: mechanical engineering, development and implementation of information and communication technologies, medicine and pharmaceuticals (including the production of medicines and veterinary drugs, medical and cosmetic equipment), high-tech industries.
The Russian Federation was represented by more than 100 participants. The main areas of their activities are biotechnology, mechanical engineering, energy, medicine, pharmaceuticals, etc. As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached on establishing cooperation and intentions to continue mutually beneficial contacts.
