They are mainly small and medium enterprises. The MCCI sees its mission in the realm of providing aid to these businesses and promoting them both on regional levels and foreign markets. Certainly, foreign companies that come to the Russian market for the purpose of localisation, do enjoy the support of the Chamber.
The Thai side was very interested in the information about the educational programs that the Chamber conducts in the interests and for the benefit of business and about the Chamber's assistance in organizing exhibitions. In particular, the guests from Thailand were interested in how many exhibitions, held in Moscow, are supported by the MCCI and on what sites they are located.
Mr. Vardanyan explained that there are three main sites, where the MCCI actively supports expositions - Sokolniki, the Expo Center and VDNKh. But, if an exhibition, interesting for business, is held in Moscow, the MCCI can support it on any another site.
The Vice President spoke about all of the opportunities and services provided by the MCCI, and in particular, about the international platform of business proposals, the "Business Market”, whose main objective is to promote the development of interregional and international business relations by way of exchanging proposals of participating companies.
The Head of the Thai delegation, the Advisor to the Department of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Ms. Nimnual Pyutongam, said that she was "pleasantly surprised" by the possibilities of this Internet platform. She also said that the Thais are very interested in holding business meetings, B2B negotiations and the promotion of tourism. Thai tourists do not need sun and heat - they have enough of their own, but for coolness, impressions and attractions they are ready to visit Russia. Gastronomic tourism is also very relevant.
The parties agreed that companies from Thailand, which would like to come to Moscow, will prepare substantive meetings with specific proposals and topics for discussion at the MCCI.
"We are glad that you decided to visit us and discuss the possibilities of cooperation,” Mr. Vardanyan summed up.
