He also regretted that information about the business mission to Mexico in March came late, and with certain restrictions on registration. Given that, the Russian Export Centre promises to subsidize a part of the expenses for entrepreneurs who will participate in the business mission to Mexico. The event promises to be interesting and desirable for those who would like to be able to attend in any capacity. The Vice President promised to do his best to try to extend the date for delegation’s organization.
"For our part, we are waiting for the names of companies that are going to come, identifying industries they are involved in, in order to help them find possible partners in Mexico. We are interested in cooperation and want to bring a delegation of Mexican businessmen to Moscow in the fall to continue discussions on specific projects that may start in Mexico in March.” said Mr. Joaquin Pastrana Urang. “Mexico trades with 45 countries, so it may be interesting for Russian businessmen.”
Mr. Vardanyan said Russian businessmen are interested in cooperation with Mexico in the sectors of energy, high technologies, robotics, space; there are many interesting developments in the sphere of medical technologies. Besides, Mexico is known for its seafood, fruits and, of course, tequila. "We conduct meetings, where we tell companies how to do business in diverse countries. We invite Russian businessmen, who have experience in a certain country and entrepreneurs from that country. And certainly, we also need external opinions concerning our business.
All this is done unofficially, informally. Asking questions, listening to answers. We study problems that entrepreneurs face. We share stories of success and failure. And, of course, we provide description of a particular country - its history, culture, customs so that people know where they are going to do business.” The MCCI Vice-President suggested holding such a presentation, concerning Mexico, before the visit of Mexican delegation in autumn to prepare Russian businessmen and to announce the visit of Mexican businessmen.
In addition, the Vice-President expressed his intention to establish a Commission for cooperation with Mexico within the MCCI. According to him, there is a search now for a candidate, who can lead this structure: the Chairman of the "country"Commission should have a positive experience of interaction with the embassy. Mr. Vardanyan suggested representatives of the Mexican delegation to recommend such a person.
"We are ready to support companies that want to localize here or organize joint businesses with one of our entrepreneurs; to find partners. We are dealing with this issue, but we need help from the Mexican side as well.” said Mr. Vardanyan. “I am sure that Mexico has vast opportunities to expand its presence in the Russian market, since we have the most advanced relations among Latin American countries.”
