The President of the MCCI, Mr. Vladimir Platonov, participated online in the Council of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE), held in Istanbul.
The meeting, moderated by Mr. Vassily Tarlev, the Chairman of the ICIE Board, focused on current activities of the Congress, enhancing ICIE’s cooperation with the business community of the Middle East regions. Speakers expressed interest in the joint implementation of projects with the business communities of Turkey, the Middle East and North African countries.
"We have covered 28 countries in our activities and we want to have the opportunity to develop our projects together," said Mr. Danil Ibrayev, the Deputy Chairman of the ICIE Council. He also listed the international organisations with which it is planned to develop cooperation - ASEAN, APEC, BRICS and others. He urged to organize forums to stimulate various business activities and supported the creation of an investment support platform.
The Chairman of the Russian-Turkish Business Council at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Ahmet Palankoev, spoke about the Russian-Turkish economic relations, saying that "our economies do not compete but complement each other.” According to him, the amount of the Russian-Turkish investments in various projects has reached $10 billion, and the development of the Russian-Turkish relations is promoted by the work of such structures as the Russian Export Center (REC), the Industrial Development Fund (IDF), the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
Mr. Vyacheslav Pshenichnikov, the First Executive Vice President of ICIE, encouraged his colleagues to come up with an enumeration of viable projects. He also announced the plans to open an ICIE office in the Balkan region and the decision to establish a Center for International Projects and Programs in the Arab region. He also informed the participants about the establishment of the ICIE Committees on Exhibition Activities, Labor Markets, Migration Policy Financial Markets and told about the cooperation of the ICIE with different Russian regions, ministries and departments of the Russian Federation.
"We highly appreciate the emerging and, we hope, useful relationship with the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its President, Mr. Vladimir Mikhailovich Platonov - he noted. - The Moscow’s emphasis of activity and is a priority task at this stage of the Congress’ development".
The members of the Council listened to the reports of the representatives of the various ICIE’s project offices and committees, as well as several Russian regions, which presented their colleagues with various economic projects and their investment potential. Mr. Adam Lyanov, the President of the International Center for Business Assistance, told the audience about the joint Russian-Turkish projects. Representative of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs' (Employers') Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Magomedali Efendiyev, President of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Mr. Anatoly Kinakh, the General Director of the International Research Institute of Management Problems, Mr. Alexander Ageyev, ICIE Board member, Mr. Alexander Murychev, and others shared their views on the future work of ICIE.
All speakers warmly thanked the Turkish side, which hosted the participants of the ICIE Council.
