On October 9, a round table "Russia-Thailand: prospective directions for economic cooperation" was held on the site of the CCI. More than 30 representatives of Russian and Thai companies took part in the event.
The meeting was greeted by the Executive Director of the Russia-ASEAN Business Council, Mr. Daniyar Akkaziev, Vice-president of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Suren Vardanyan, and Director of the Regional investment and economic centre of the Council for investment of Thailand, Mr. Kanokhporn Chotipal.
Speakers noted positive dynamics of development of bilateral business relations and the growth of trade turnover. Complimented was the work of the trade and economic mission of Russian businessmen to Bangkok, headed by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Mr. Alexei Gruzdev.
Of great interest to the Thais were presentations of the Russian companies PJSC "Power Machines", "Spectroplast" LLC, "Esargo" LLC, and others. The Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Skolkovo Foundation, Mr. Maxim Romanov, described in detail the opportunities for cooperation with foreign countries, offered by the innovative park in the sphere of high-tech.
In turn, Thai businessmen presented their business interests in Russia and expressed their intentions to deepen contacts with Russian entrepreneurs.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to actively use the platform of the Russian-Thai Business Council for the exchange of commercial and auxiliary (legal, tax, etc.) information in the interests of business communities of the two countries.
