The Vice President of the MCCI, Mr. Suren Vardanyan, participated in the round table "Russia - Austria. Cooperation based on trust", organized by the “Russian Business Guide” magazine and the Russian-Austrian Business Council, with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
The opening remarks at the event were made by Mr. Alexander Potemkin, the Russian Trade Representative to Austria, and Mr. Roman Rykunov, the regional representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce in Austria.
The Executive Director of the Russian-Austrian Business Council, Mr. Anatoly Golovaty, and Commercial Counsellor of Austrian Embassy in Russia, Mr. Rudolf Lukavsky, spoke about favourable conditions, created in Russia for the activities of Austrian investors.
The representative of the Russian Export Center (REC) in Austria and Germany, Mr. Yuri Stetsenko, reported on the productive development of the Russian-Austrian business relations.
The Vice President of the MCCI, Mr. Vardanyan, introduced the participants of the event to the pertinent areas of cooperation between Moscow and Austria in such fields as education, the creation of a "smart city"; a project related to forestry, timber housing construction, tourism and the development of "green economy".
He spoke about the MCCI’s cooperation with the Austrian and Viennese Chambers of Commerce, particularly aimed at implementing business projects and business missions. Specifically, the C7, a project of the Union of Megacities, which includes Sao Paulo, London, Paris, Berlin, Beijing, Moscow and now Vienna.
Mr. Vardanyan confirmed the readiness of the Moscow companies to continue cooperation in diverse pursuits with projects, aimed at using technologies with high added values.
Representatives from Tatarstan, the Far East, Lipetsk, Moscow, Samara and Saratov regions also spoke about their experiences with Austrian entrepreneurs.
Representatives of Quehenberger Logistics Rus, Vamed Engineering Branch Office St. Peterburg, Gabriel-Chemie Rus, Felder, OMV Russia GmbH, "RT Trumer", "RT-Techpriemka" and other companies expressed their business opinions at the event.
Mr. Kirill Kayem, the Senior Vice President of the Skolkovo Foundation, acquainted those present the Russian-Austrian cooperation in the field of innovations.
