The work of the Russian-Kuwaiti Commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation began in the state of Kuwait. During the visit, the business community of the Russian capital was represented by the delegation of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, headed by its President, Mr. Vladimir Platonov. During the meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission, it is planned to conduct an inventory of promising joint projects in various fields. In particular, issues of humanitarian relations, cultural exchanges, and tourism will be considered.
The most important role in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation is relegated to diverse business missions and direct contacts between representatives of business circles. The main purpose of the current visit of the representatives of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to develop business cooperation with Kuwait and to establish firm partnerships. Therefore, during the visit of the delegation of the MCCI, bilateral negotiations and meetings with representatives of the largest Kuwaiti companies are planned. On the first day of work, meetings of the Moscow delegation were held at the Embassy and the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Kuwait, the Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Ministry of Petroleum of Kuwait.
Since such business meetings offer a unique opportunity for discussions of mutual interest on expanding practical cooperation between Russia and the countries of the region in the trade and economic spheres, the delegation of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry will also visit Bahrain. During the visit, Mr.Platonov will meet with the leadership of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the leadership of the Al Suwaiket Company, Mr. Jasim M. Alghatam, and representatives of the Economic Development Agency.
