On December 21, Moscow hosted the Moscow-Israel Forum "Smart City", organized with the support of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event was held within the framework of the visit to Moscow of representatives of the leading Israeli companies in the field of high technologies.
In his speech during the panel discussion, the Deputy Head of Information Technology Department of the capital, Mr. Andrei Belozerov, said, "over the past five years, Moscow has done a great job of implementing "smart" technologies. In the future, investment in computerization will continue: the budget of the Department of Information Technology amounts to more than 40 billion rubles for the next year".
During the forum, participants shared their knowledge and experience of current best practices in various fields. During the round table "IT applications and urban security" reports were presented on the use of Driver Assistance Systems (DAS), the development of innovative products and solutions for the reduction of noise, discussed MySmartCity projects in the Smart city and Internet of Things areas. MGTS’ representative shared her experience in implementing projects "Smart House" and "Video surveillance". In addition, solutions were presented in the field of transportation safety, identified opportunities for wide Broadcast Satellite Communications. The roundtable was moderated by Mr.Byuzand Zulumyan - Executive Director of "Smart Solutions", the chairman of the Guild of Information Technologies and Digital Communications of the MCCI.
At the round table "Smart solutions in urban development and housing", the Deputy Head of the Department of the fuel and energy sector of the capital, Mr.Ivan Novitsky, told his colleagues from Israel of the energy-saving measures, which are taking place throughout Moscow in residential housing. In addition, discussed were the possibilities of applying the energy efficiency of innovative LED lighting for its use in housing and communal services, integrated solutions for telemedicine and others.
