The MCCI Committee for the development of cooperation with business clubs and fellowship associations, together with the Trade Representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation, held an online conference "On the prospects of trade and economic relations of enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the city of Moscow and Russian regions.
As was noted in the opening speech by the Vice President of the MCCI, Mr. Suren Vardanyan, Kazakhstan is a long-standing economic partner of Russia; the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry has established strong ties with the Chambers of Commerce of this country and the Trade Mission of Kazakhstan. According to the representative of the MCCI management, now there are good prospects for the development of industrial cooperation between the businesses of Russia, Moscow and Kazakhstan. "I believe that now we can jointly enter the markets of other countries with both technologies and product solutions," the speaker announced. Another promising area of joint work, that the Vice President mentioned, is the reciprocal selection of reliable suppliers and partners for entrepreneurs from both Moscow and Kazakhstan.
Mr. Oleg Moskovsky, the Chairman of the MCCI Committee for the Development of Cooperation of Business Clubs of Compatriots, shared his experience in assisting entrepreneurs in various regions for resolving debt disputes, and offered to assist in the initial verification of reliability of partner companies from Russia, including its regions.
The Deputy Trade Representative of the Trade Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Russia, Mr. Damir Adilbekov, said that the main task of this organization is to promote Kazakhstan’s goods in various markets, as well as attract technology and investments its economy. He noted that the Trade Mission is ready to assist Moscow’s companies in the selection of partners. In addition, Mr. Adilbekov said that the International Trade Zone Center on the border between China and Kazakhstan, the city of Korgas, is interested in Russian manufacturers.
The participants of the event learned what Internet resources can be used to verify a potential partner from Kazakhstan. According to the Advisor of the Trade Representation of Kazakhstan, Mr. Kenzheguzin Saken, reliability can be assessed by several parameters: the presence of tax arrears, the volume of tax payments, whether the company pays VAT. An important fact may be the presence of the Head of the partner company in the register of debtors under the court enforcement proceedings: since the parties on this list are prohibited from leaving the country, it may affect the ability to negotiate and sign documents.
The next part of the event Mr. Moskovsky designated as the "Contact Exchange". There were representatives of Russian business, interested in cooperation with partners from Kazakhstan. For example, the company "DST-Ural", which produces special equipment and loaders, is ready to supply its products and find partners, who produce the necessary components, bypassing European suppliers. Also, representatives of the company said they are ready to calculate the economics of localization of their production in Kazakhstan.
Ms. Darina Latypova, the Head of Development and Marketing of PC "ANEKO", said that the company is interested in expanding the locales of sales of its products. The company produces equipment for drilling, service and operation of oil wells.
The Financial Director of “ATD “ LLC (Australian Trading House), Mr Yuri Koptelov, said that the main suppliers of high-quality beef, the production of culinary semi-finished products, which is their speciality, are Australia, Argentina and Uruguay. Due to the pandemic and the instability of the ruble, the task is to find new suppliers with more convenient and economical logistics and a stable exchange rate of the national currency.
Ms.Elena Platonova, the General Director of the “Protection of Constructions-M" Company, outlined several areas of possible cooperation, including cooperation with design organizations, supply of scarce chemical products to Russia, such as acetone, etc.
Mr. Sergey Babintsev, the Commercial Director of the “Nadezhda” Confectionery Factory LLC, expressed an interest in importing granulated sugar, flour and margarine from Kazakhstan. "Since our business’ marginality is minimal, we cannot afford even one intermediary link in the chain," pointed out the entrepreneur.
The representatives of the Trade Mission of Kazakhstan listened carefully to Russian entrepreneurs, asked qualifying questions and promised to assist in the selection of reliable suppliers and partners from their country.
Summing up the event, Mr. Moskovsky asked the participants to send brief information about their companies to the MCCI Committee and indicate the requests they may have.
