On November 24, the MCCI discussed the actualisation of the Russian-Indian cooperation. The participants in the meeting were entrepreneurs and specialists in the field of Foreign Economic Activity.
The moderator of the meeting, the Vice President of the MCCI, Mr. Suren Vardanyan, opening the event, noted that now, when our everyday life is highly digitalized, the trade and technological partnership with India is of particular importance for Russia. The Vice President emphasized the high degree of “cultural appreciation and mutual trust" that exists between the peoples of the two countries.
Then he passed the floor to Mr. Rajan Taokar, the Vice President of the Indian Chamber of International Business. "We help small, medium and large companies find business opportunities in other countries," the speaker said and elaborated on the activities of the Indian Chamber, which has more than 10 years of experience in working with Russia. "As you know, Indian companies are very active in the IT sector and, since there are friendly relations between Russia and India, I would like to make all Russian companies a proposal for cooperation. Because the modern world is a partnership. We would like to work together and grow our competencies together," the Indian businessman concluded his speech.
Mr. Alexey Kokorin, the Head of the Corporate Law Department at Rödl & Partners, spoke about the specifics of concluding foreign trade contracts with companies from India. He also briefly outlined the trade statistics between the two countries: The trade turnover in the first 6 months of the year 2022 exceeded last year’s figures by 120 percent. Then he spoke about what is required to establish and register a company in India, the principles of personal and extant liabilities, the responsibility of a company and its management, as well as the nuances of foreign trade contracts.
Mr. Evgeny Kurdyukov, the IT Director of Rödl & Partners LLC, made a presentation on "Consulting and Outsourcing of IT Services during Transition to New Solutions".
"The world's IT leaders have left Russia. What does it mean for us? Familiar technology is becoming inaccessible and insecure. The way out is the transition to new solutions," said the expert.
He cited such difficulties to transition as the lack of experience, the complexity of the choice and the lack of our own resources. "And then an IT consulting enters the field, and knows all the solutions available in the market, knows these solutions more profoundly and thoroughly than ordinary consumers. Plus, has a well-established interaction with suppliers, to wit, a competent IT professional should help to choose the solutions, which a business needs and help to implement it," said Mr. Kurdyukov. Summarizing his speech, he drew attention of the meeting participants to the fact that consulting and outsourcing is "not a buzzwords," but a reality that is becoming commonplace. Its quick access to knowledge, the ability to make quick changes, the flexibility in the amount of resources. "So I urge not to self-medicate, but to use the services of experienced professionals, who have been doing it for a very long time and doing it well," underscored the expert, concluding his speech.
"We would like companies like yours to be among those who can give a qualified assessment of who provides such services. The MCCI maintains its own register of specialists, whom we can involve in consultations, for whose opinion we can vouch," summed up the event Mr. Vardanyan.
