The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

He said that the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has been restructured and now there are three Chambers in the emirate: one is engaged in supporting local entrepreneurs, the second - international contacts, and the third is focused on the development of the digital economy.
Among the tasks, facing the Dubai International Chamber, is the opening of 50 offices around the world, including Russia. "We have already opened a Moscow office and may open a representative office in St. Petersburg," said Mr. Baqer. ‘Now, we are ready to support businesses in establishing contacts, opening representative offices in Dubai, and in developing investments.”
During the dialog, discussed were spheres of cooperation between the two countries, focusing on the fields of healthcare, IT-technologies, logistics and education. The delegation from Dubai expressed their interest, involving Russian experts and companies engaged in the development of healthcare in the UAE. In addition, during the meeting, many common points of contact were found in the field of information technologies. Both regions are actively developing and mastering the latest technologies, and cooperation between experts from Moscow and Dubai can help make this process more efficie
Also, special attention is paid to joint cooperation in the field of logistics: Moscow and Dubai have unique logistics capabilities and play key roles in transportation hubs and corridors, connecting Asia and Europe.
According to Mr. Evgeny Golotsan, the Deputy Chairman of the MCCI’s Commission for Foreign Economic Cooperation with the Gulf Partners, the Commission has been long and successfully cooperating with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, even before the restructuring, and is ready to continue pursuing its contacts. In addition to IT-technologies, healthcare and education, the expert named the development of smart cities, as one of the promising areas.

Education remains an equally important area of cooperation. Institutes and universities in Russia and Dubai can create a platform for exchanging students and teachers, developing joint research and training programs. This will help enrich the educational experience of students and build a long-term partnership between educational institutions of the two countries. Mr. Platonov spoke about the project.
