The 19th meeting of the International Council for Business Cooperation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Caspian Sea Region , the“Caspian Business”, was held online on the site of the Joint Iranian-Russian Chamber of Commerce of Iran.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Levan Jagarian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, Mr. Kazem Jalali, President of the Joint Iranian-Russian Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Hadi Tizhush Taban, the President of the CCI of Mazandran’s province, Mr. Abdollah Mohajer, Chairman of the Russian-Iranian Business Council. Mr. Vladimir Obydenov, representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Russian and Iranian regions and entrepreneurs interested in the event participated in the meeting.
The history of the “Caspian"Business" began in 1996, when the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Russia, Iran and Kazakhstan decided to establish the International Council for Business Cooperation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Caspian Region.Subsequently, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan joined the association.
The main topic of the XIX meeting was the creation of a communication platform to expand trade and economic cooperation between the countries of the Caspian region and enhance activities in the areas of trade, manufacturing, tourism, banking, customs regulations, obtaining visas and a number of other issues. The event emphasized the readiness of all parties to develop economic relations, mutual and fruitful cooperation.
The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by its Vice-President, Mr. Suren Vardanyan. He said that the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready for the new challenges regarding the pandemic. "We are serious and pay close attention to the digitalization of our work and this direction turned out to be a very comprehensive vector of development: we already have developed a number of applications. According to Mr. Vardanian, the Chamber held more than 60 events dedicated to the specifics of doing business in different countries, the first to start holding virtual exhibitions on the platform of the “Business Market”. "We have long maintained fruitful relations with Iranian entrepreneurs and with the Chambers of Commerce of this country," iterated the speaker. The MCCI is ready to assist in the development of cooperation in such areas as waste recycling, construction, IT-technologies, the use and introduction of new construction materials, including composites, and, of course, the issues of industry and machine building.
We also pay close attention to the support of tourism and the hospitality industry. We consider it extremely important that people know and understand the mentality, history and traditions of each other. The Vice-President of the MCCI specifically accentuated the readiness of the Chamber to cooperate in various spheres of the economy. "We will be glad, if our colleagues propose projects that we can implement together," the speaker said. “The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry is always glad to see guests from the Caspian countries on its platform," Mr. Vardanyan said, concluding his speech.
The next meeting of the International Council for Business Cooperation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Caspian countries, the “ Caspian Business”, was proposed to be conducted in August of this year, in Moscow, within the auspices of the Second Caspian Economic Forum.
