"We are trying to do our best to establish contacts between business circles of Moscow and Indonesia. The agreement with Jakarta’s CCI was signed several years ago. We expect that formalization of these relations will allow to bring business contacts to a reliable and secure legal level," Suren Vardanyan said in his opening speech.
He then briefly spoke about the main projects being implemented by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Among them are visa support, legalization of documents, a digital platform "Business Market", the project "Documents in order" and the International Club of Employers. Mr. Vardanyan expressed hope that the Indonesian side will offer projects that will be interesting for the implementation by the MCCI.
Ms.Moudy Lita Pattinama, a representative of the Indonesian side and the Vice Chairperson of the Supreme Council of the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs' Association, said that the main objective of the Association is to promote the development of small and medium-sized businesses. "We brought to Moscow 13 women entrepreneurs, who represent various projects in Indonesia," said Ms. Patinama.
Members of the Indonesian delegation made small presentations about their business to the Russian entrepreneurs present at the meeting. Women entrepreneurs are interested in cooperation in various fields: tourism, construction, medical business. Among them are owners of petrol stations, bakeries, furniture and textile manufacturers. Renewable energy sources, hydropower and palm oil production are also among the interests of Indonesian women — entrepreneurs.
Participants of the meeting from the Moscow business community expressed interest in cooperation and also briefly presented their businesses. Since the main purpose of the event was to establish business contacts, special networking time was allocated at the end of the meeting.
