On January 29, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the signing of an agreement on cooperation between VDNKh JSC and the Israeli company Tel Aviv Moscow Enterprise. Ltd (TME LTD) specializing in exhibition activities.
The document was signed by the First Deputy Director General of VDNKh, Mr. Dmitry Mikhailov and Director of TME LTD, Ms. Alla Sukonik.
As the President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Vladimir Platonov noted in his speech, the Chamber is called upon to assist in the development of economic relations, which includes foreign partners. He expressed confidence that cooperation in the field of congresses and exhibitions, with such a notable exhibition complex as VDNKh, will bring mutual benefits and will be useful for both Moscow and Tel Aviv. The President of the Moscow Chamber told foreign visitors about the history of the exhibition complex, and said that now the plan for the reconstruction of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements has been approved, which envisages the preservation of both cultural and architectural heritage and the creation of new, modern facilities.
Mr. Mikhailov noted the importance of the signed agreement for the Exhibition of Economic Achievements, because "as practice shows, Russian exhibitions are a great success, if they have a large foreign component, and Israeli companies are not very widely represented at our exhibitions. We hope that, thanks to your efforts, the situation will change and the Israeli business will have an opportunity to exhibit its products and developments with us. In addition, we have experience in attracting Russian exhibitors to foreign exhibitions, and we are very interested to come to you, and we hope that Russian business will have an opportunity to demonstrate its achievements in Tel-Aviv, Israel. "
Ms. Alla Sukonik proposed to meet in the near future and outline a concrete plan of measures aimed at developing cooperation, since the agreement is of a framework nature.
