On July 11, at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a meeting was held with the delegation from the city of Vientiane (Laos), led by the Mayor of the city, Dr. Sinlawong Khutpaithun. The delegation included representatives of state bodies and business circles of the city of Vientiane. The delegation was by headed the Director of the Department of External Relations of the City Council of Vientiane, Mr. Dongta Solivong.
Mr. Yury Morozov, the Head of the Department for International and Interregional Cooperation of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, introduced the range of activities of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noting the wide array of functions of the Chamber, which allows receiving requests for services from all over Russia. He detailed the structure of public associations of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and emphasized that the MCCI provides an effective dialogue between business representatives, the legislative and executive authorities of the capital.
At the meeting, the business of the Laotian city of Vientiane was represented by the producers of tea, vegetables and fruits, soft drinks, flowers, furniture, made from precious woods. Companies, engaged in the spheres of tourism, hotel industry and real estate also participated in the meeting. The business of Laos, according to the members of the delegation, is interested in providing logistics services, the supply of cosmetics and legal support on the territory of Russia. Representatives of the Lao business also expressed interest in the localization of Russian kvass production in Vientiane.
The meeting was attended by representatives of companies - members of the Guild of Trade and Services Enterprises of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, uniting more than 60 companies. The chairman of the Guild, Mr. Alexander Kvirkvelia, presented the profile of this public organization: "Virtually all the needs of the Laos business can be met with the participation of companies - members of the Guild of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Furthermore, members of the Guild abide by the rules of fair competition, therefore foreign partners can choose a company, with which they will be able to work comfortably. The working language of cooperation can be English ", said Mr.Kvirkvelia. The meeting resulted in an effective exchange of information between the business circles of Moscow and Vientiane. The parties agreed to establish direct contacts.
