In his speech, Mr. Platonov emphasized that the development of international relations is a priority for the MCCI's activities. The Chamber has an effective system of stimulation and non-financial support of business, which serves to provide access to foreign markets, the high-tech one in particular.
In 2016-2019, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry held about 300 events in the field of foreign economic activity: business events during the Days of Moscow in foreign countries and Days of Cities in Moscow, trade and economic missions, forums, conferences, round tables, including exhibitions, presentations, meetings in the Chamber with ambassadors, traders, members of parliament, mayors, delegations of entrepreneurs from a number of foreign countries, etc.
In cooperation with the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, Moscow’s and Russian Export Centers are being developed. On the premises of the MCCI, there are 41 commissions, dealing with foreign economic cooperation with partners in and from various countries (covering more than 50) and the Center for Customs Consulting (providing consultations on foreign economic activity).
The Chamber has signed more than 140 agreements with foreign CCIs and other organizations. At the recently concluded “Russia-Africa” Economic Forum in Sochi, agreements were signed with the CCIs of Abuja (Nigeria), Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Sierra Leone. An arrangement has been agreed upon to sign an agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cameroon in the near future.
The CCI is substantive, it is the center of attraction not only for Russian, but also for foreign business. The number of requests, visits, missions from foreign business circles has increased significantly.
Constructive cooperation is ongoing in the Council of the Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the six largest cities of the world - Moscow, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, London, Beijing and Sao Paulo. The Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the cities - the centers of business activity of the Euro-Asian Economic Space (Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Moscow, Bratislava, Jakarta, Karachi, Istanbul, Yerevan, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk and Kuzbass) was established on the initiative of the MCCI.
The strategic goal of the MCCI is to develop international business cooperation. The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), has received international recognition for its online platform of business proposals, the “Business Market”, which stimulates and considerably eases the international activities for Moscow’s entrepreneurs.
New functions were added to the platform: the electronic document flow of commercial tenders to search for optimal suppliers and contractors through the competitive mechanism, confirmation of the authenticity of documents (licenses, certificates, acknowledgements are checked and entered into the "register of documents, confirming the qualification and competence of legal entities". Thanks to the expansion of the platform’s capabilities, its international popularity is growing: in 2019, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of ten new countries joined the” Business Market”.
