As part of an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s President, Mr. Vladimir Platonov, held a meeting with a Mr. Mohammed Ali bin Rashid Lyuta, the President and CEO of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Areas of cooperation between the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Dubai were delineated as follows:
The organization of reciprocal business missions to the following sectoral areas:
- construction materials and construction;
- Food products and storage systems;
- IT and artificial intelligence;
- Waste treatment and water purification systems;
- cosmetology and pharmacology.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the possibility of organizing seminars and lectures, aimed at raising the awareness of Dubai and Moscow’s companies are looking into the incidental particulars of conducting business, the legal aspects and potentially interesting and profitable directions and possibilities. As an addendum, online conferences on the topics of "Doing Business in the UAE" and "Doing Business in Russia” are being held.
In addition, the discussions centred on organising bilateral support for companies, active in the markets of both Moscow and Dubai, as well as the establishment of a system to support the localization of companies in the UAE and Russia.
The Heads of the Chambers discussed the details of the interaction between Moscow and the UAE technoparks and the visit of the Chairman of the Dubai Chamber to Moscow.
The parties noted getting "constantly positive results," from the relations between the Chambers of the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Alexey Busev, the Chairman of the MCCI Commission on Foreign Economic Cooperation with partners in the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf.
