Mr. Vladimir Platonov, the President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in his speech, stressed that Russia and India have a longstanding and friendly relationship. This relationship is multifaceted, with one of its integral parts being the interaction between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry. "When our Vice-President, Mr. Suren Vardanyan and I were studying at the RUDN University, there were Indian students, who were studying with us. I am confident that they have turned out to be excellent professionals," said the Head of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Platonov told the Indian guests about the new projects of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including the electronic trading platform, the “Business Market", where not only Russian companies but also foreign ones can introduce their projects.
Speaking about the role of the Chamber in the development of various sectors of the economy, the Head of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry focused on the process of structuring the taxi business in the Russian capital. "Now Moscow is hosting the 7th International Taxi Forum and we do have something to tell and show to the guests from our regions and other countries", - said Mr. Platonov. "We invite you to come to India and improve the situation with our taxis", - was the response of Mr. Sitaram Sharma.
He also acknowledged that the participation of Indian companies in the “Business Market” digital business platform project is a very promising area. He said that one of the main exports of India is the export of iron ore. India supplies iron ore to China, Europe and North America. At the same time, in the Russian market, Indian companies face very rigorous competition from Ukrainian suppliers and domestic (Russian) companies. It is possible that they will be able to find partners in India through the "Business Market".
