The Japanese side is very interested in the Russian projects in the fields of medicine and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as programming software for drones. The proposed innovations for using drones in everyday life has also attracted the attention of Japanese entrepreneurs.
After three days of negotiations, the first agreements were signed on developing joint projects and possible investments in the most promising high-tech areas.
During the Forum, the representatives of the MCCI’s Guilds took part in two sessions with their Japanese partners, concerning the "Society 5.0 Digital Transformation and New Directions of Business in Japan", "Opportunities for Japan-Russia Mutual Investments in Technology".
While Japanese companies, in turn, held two sessions, during which they explained what technologies they need to develop, and with which Russian startups they would like to cooperate.
In addition, on October 23, the Forum featured a speech by Mr. Evgeny Kontsevich, the Chairman of the Guild of Digital Economy and Blockchain Technologies of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who focused on "Innovations in fitness and their impact on the market. What will be the sports and health market in the near future". The speaker noted: "Today, the fitness industry is actively testing digital innovations and new approaches to business.
However, most innovations revolve around gadgetry and digital services. We believe that fitness has already changed as a market and product; the only question is how soon the clubs will realize it, and begin to reshape their current business models to the new realities." In the near future, the MCCI is planning a number of events with the Japanese partner associations to continue establishing ties with companies in various fields of production, from high technology and medicine to food and cosmetics.
